- Hosei University Research Plan
- Letter of recommendation from the Dean (addressed to the President of Hosei University).
- The applicant's photograph (4.5 x 3.5 cm)
- Copy of passport
- Academic transcript
- Former students: Academic transcript issued by the applicant’s most recent graduating institution.
- Current students: Academic transcripts issued by both the applicant’s most recent graduating institution and the currently enrolled institution
- Certificate of graduation (or prospect)
- Academic records attesting to excellence at the last graduating school
- Thesis summary
- Language scores such as TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS and JLPT
